So Much Spiritual Blessing - Ephesians 1 (PART ONE)

What does it mean to be "Blessed'?
The Merriam-Webster Dictionary defines the term 'blessed' as 'having a sacred nature: connected with God'.
When Paul says in verse 3 in Ephesians 1 "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ", it means that God has already given us everything we need to be connected with Him. In achieving these blessings the holy spirit allows them to make us holy, having a sacred nature. Verse 4 in Ephesians explains that God chose US, you and me, before the world began to be holy and blameless.

Ephesians 1:5-6 (ESV) "He predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of His will, to the praise of His glorious grace, which which he has blessed us in the Beloved."
He thought of your name and it was his desire for you to be his child, in love! Because of Jesus we have redemption, because of Jesus we are forgiven, and because of Jesus we receive the riches of His grace. Through the spiritual blessings he has already given us, we are able to grow one step closer to achieve what the will of God is for us. God's will for you could be being a missionary, a doctor, a teacher, or even being in school, but whatever it is, the spiritual blessings He hands you will equip you to achieve His will for you in your life for His glory. You won't go at it alone!

Like verse 13-14 says, we have been marked in Him with a seal. This seal is the promised Holy Spirit who is our deposit, or guarantee, until we receive the ultimate inheritance from God. So whoever you are and wherever God's plan for you to be is, I pray that the Lord gives you boldness and discernment to grab hold of the spiritual blessings He has already blessed you with so you may grow to  who God designed you to be for His purpose!
